witty, touching, daring. a modern book on the popular topic of american social injustice and racism in the 1960s. the storyline is intertwined with the major political and social events that took place in the beginning of the decade. it is a story of courage and truth. beautifully written from the perspectives of three different women from different social standings and backgrounds who wanted to do what is right in their home town. i recommend it this book. it's a quick read also - i finished it in three days!
